Madrid, 20 December, 2019. Elawan Energy has been awarded a new 15-years wind contract for four wind farms in Poland, with a total installed capacity of 36 MWs and 100GWh/year production.
The results of the Polish Energy Regulatory Office bid were announced on 19 December, resulting Elawan Energy awarded 36 MWs divided into four projects of 20, 6, 6 and 4 MWs capacity respectively, located in different regions in the country.
This award involves an investment of 34 million euros by Elawan Energy, that has nearly three years-time to proceed with these MWs.
Jaime Poves, Country Manager Elawan Energy in Poland, stated that: “This contract is a relevant milestone for Elawan in Poland where we had 10 wind MWS and 0.5 photovoltaic MW functioning to date. These wind farms, which we expect to be operational in 2021, mean tripling our installed capacity in a market we consider very interesting for the future. We have been working over 8 years in Poland and have a wind farm and photovoltaic portfolio that we expect to concretize in the coming years with similar bids as those we have been awarded with”.
