La operación de financiación de la planta, situada en la provincia de Nerthern Cape, correrá a
cargo de los fondos propios de os que dispone Cofides para la financiación de
empresas españolas.

Además, esta financiación es la primera que se cierra tras la firma del convenio entre esta
sociedad e Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa Limited, (IDC) el
pasado mes de diciembre.

Noblesfontein

Noblesfontein is the the first wind farm in South Africa of Elawan, with an installed capacity of 74 MW. It consists of 41 turbines (Vestas V100 - 1, 8 MW) with an expected generation of 221,400 MWh / year.

The project represents an investment of over 120 million (60% Elawan, Sarge 15%, and Shanduka 25%) and it is located in Karoo, Victoria West, about 650 km away from Cape Town.

This is Elawan's first project in Turkey and it counts with a power production capacity of 24 MW. The project involved a €35M investment and now provides enough clean energy for over 30,000 homes each year.

The wind farm electricity production shall have a positive effect on the environment, decreasing CO2 emissions by 47,554 tons per year. And it will also provide a purifying effect equivalent to that of 2.38 million trees for the Turkish region.
